Conservation Planning and Coral Reef Ecology

I am a coral reef conservation scientist with a keen interest in combining empirical ecology and theoretical conservation science. My work integrates field data, spatial models and decision science to find new conservation solutions that form a link between theory and practice. I work across disciplines; in the fields of decision science, applied marine ecology, statistical predictive modelling, and spatial conservation planning. I aspire to translate my work to actual conservation actions on the ground, and so I aim to make my results accessible and relevant to NGOs, government agencies, the public and other potential participants in conservation efforts. I work closely with conservation NGOs and local and regional managers.
